About Me
I have been in the technology industry for the past 15 years. I worked as a designer and developer for companies including Chase manhattan, Jpmorgan, SG Cowen, G& J Publishing and AIG.
Leaving the corporate world 7 years ago, I started my own boutique design house that specializes in Rich Media technologies.
This gave me an opportunity to work on more out of the box creative initiatives. Working on projects for world class organizations, such as DeBeers, Swarovski, Macys, DIAGEO, JCPenney, and CondeNast as well as many other top tier companies.

Hi Tony, hope you are well
I’m writing an article for a UK-based graphic design mag about designers and design companies who have really benefited from using LinkedIn, for example for winnning clients, new business, building a strong following etc.
Would you be intersted in answering a couple of questions and giving our readers a few bits of advice about how to make Linkedin really work well for them?
What I’m after is some “real-life” advice for readers of our magazine about
how successful creatives have used social networking sites to their
advantage. All of our readers we already be using sites like LinkedIn to
promote themselves, so I need to be able to pass on some really great advice
they’ve probably not thought about yet!
Hope this doesn’t sound like too tall an order, but if you could help, I’d
be gratefull. Plus our readers would get to check out your URL and find out
more about your work (Computer Arts Projects is a monthly magazine which is
distributed all over Europe, the US and other parts of the world for more
info http://www.computerarts.co.uk).
Here’s my questions:
Have you ever won any new business through using LinkedIn? If so, how did it
help? Please be specific about actual jobs/pieces of work/companies
If not, how has LI helped you in your job and in promoting yourself?
What are the best ways of using LI in terms of promoting yourself or
winning new business?
Have you made any useful contacts through LI?
What are the drawbacks of LI and how could it be improved?
IMAGE – We thought it would be a good idea to illustrate this feature using
the avatars of the people I’m interviewing, so, if possible, could you send
over a version of your own avatar which is high-res enough to print?
Thanks in advance for your help with this.
best regards
Dom
